Thinking through Prisms, Thinking through Emerging, Evolving, Enlarged and Focused Frames


Thinking emerges through prisms, not in a vacuum, as there is always a context, but even better, a frame through which we understand and process our thoughts. As we continue to ponder our ideas, frames add to our emerging frames following the connections that we make. We do not think in a linear way, so we bring about patterns of insights to our thinking that come with their own conditions. In reality, they are Prisms through which we view a problem, an issue. They are Prisms because these frames are connected themselves and shed light on previous frames and vice versa.

   As these Prisms emerge from what we focus on, they evolve, and the more they evolve, the more we see, the more we understand and the more we process. Details appear, and more connections are established, and patterns impose themselves. In fact more patterns are perceived and we see the links between them, patters themselves, patterns of links, processed following what our interest is in the matter. We tend to bring to the fore the patterns that are relevant to our exploration and/or investigate, as we survey the details.

   So the Prisms of our Thinking emerge, evolve and then the Prisms enlarge our vision. The more we calibrate, the more we see, taking a step back or moving forward, all for perspective. Even when we venture into specific analysis, we need to set back in order to consider the Prism through which we're looking at a particular issue, and how this Prism relates to the previous ones and to the ones coming after. These Prisms allow us to articulate our vision in order to make sense of the problematic and consider solutions or insights. So there's a Prism effect that helps to bring all connections together for meaning.

   As we focus with the Prisms that we use, we come to better precision, as we close on the mindfulness of what's at stake. The Story emerges with better clarity, as long as the Prisms through which we looked at the problem were the relevant ones, so the importance of choosing the right Prisms, the right frames, in relationship with each other. And when we finally come to conclusion, it's important to place the Prisms in the right alignment and to calibrate well, so as to frame the articulation of our thoughts with logical discipline for the right denouement. 

   We definitely think through Prisms, through Frames, Superimposing Stories that shed light on each other, enlarging and focusing on the specific details needed for logical insight. They emerge from each other and they evolve in relationship to each other, that's the way we think!
